Australian certification requirements

When you purchase a Midea heat pump from us, you can rest easy knowing that you’ve bought a quality product. The Midea heat pumps have been tested and certified against the rigorous demands of all relevant Australian standards, in particular

• AS/NZS 2712 Solar and heat pump water heaters— Design and construction, and
• AS 3498 Water heaters and hot water storage tanks.

Warranties

Again you can rest easy, knowing that every aspect of the supply and installation of your hot water system is backed by warranties.

• The water storage tank is subject to a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, guaranteeing that it will remain free of defects over that period.
• The heat pump compressor is subject to a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty period.
• Other components supplied by the manufacturer – including the pressure relief valve, elements, thermostats and sacrificial anodes – are covered by a 1-year warranty.

On the day of installation, we will help you lodge your online registration with the Australian supplier to ensure that your warranties are registered within their system.

Other warranties relative to the installation

In addition to the above, the installation is subject to these warranties:

• Additional valves provided during the installation will include a tempering valve, and may include pressure limiting and non-return valves. These are covered by a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Replacement of a valve in the unlikely event of a defect is undertaken at no cost to you by our plumber.
• Installation work undertaken by our plumbers and electricians is covered by a 1-year warranty.
